From student-athletes, staff, mom & dad to across the campus and the media, everyone wants to hear from the athletic director, thus don’t delegate your biggest owned communications tool: social media to someone else.
– Everyone is busy, but when the ???? hits the fan, know how to disseminate your narrative in a trusted and familiar voice on your own branded pages — as sometimes the institution takes its back.
– Use the same communication skills that got you in your chair — to keep you in your chair.
– Keep learning. It’s not that hard, start small and carve out one hour a week.
