Premiere business strategist, communications crusader and popular author, Carrie Gerlach Cecil is the CEO of Social Media Sports Management (SM2). The company protects and maximizes valuable sports brands through digital, social media and real-time communications strategies, coaching, education, tactics and teams. SM2 is on a communications crusade to empower their sports partners to jump the social media curve for a more successful digital tomorrow.

Under Ms. Cecil guidance the company has pioneered revolutionary services and solutions to address the increasing digital, social media and real-time communications needs of their sports partners. She motivates and manages an internal and external team of global social media, digital, production, technology, legal, sales, marketing, public relations, sports, and security executives.

Ms. Cecil is also the founder of Anachel Inc., a corporate, sports and entertainment powerhouses with creative, integrated and comprehensive services, solutions and storytelling under one moniker. Over the past two decades, she has counseled countless c-suite executives and decision-makers from entities and corporations such as SONY, NASCAR, Charter Communications, ESPN, NFL, FOX Sports Net, Universal Television, The Tennis Channel, The Pac-12 Conference, AVP ProVolleyball, Charter Communications, Columbia Tri-Star, Sony Pictures, Sony Corporate America, Game Show Network and MGM Television and Domestic Films.

An in-demand media strategist and crisis management executive, Ms. Cecil has authored books for Simon & Schuster and Harper Collins as well as penned and produced television shows for ABC Television and Lifetime Television, and contributed to numerous online news stories. She is an experienced speechwriter and corporate image coach who confidentially directs her clients on how to preemptively and positively maneuver sensitive issues that impact their businesses.

Prior to forming Anachel, Ms. Cecil handled public relations as well as community affairs and branding for networks and film studios. In that experience she traveled the globe working on-set and side-by side Hollywood’s leading producers, directors and actors on productions for Twentieth Century Fox, Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures and Miramax on films such as The Newton Boys, Return to Paradise, End of Days, and Dogma, among others. Before going out on her own, Cecil was director of entertainment publicity, West Coast for Turner Network Television (TNT), based in Los Angeles. She inaugurated her tenure with Turner Entertainment Group in New York as manager of East Coast public relations and was part of the team that launched Turner Classic Movies. She began her career in public relations in the television department of Rogers & Cowan Public Relations, Inc., and as an intern with The Honorable Senator John McCain in Phoenix, Arizona.

Ms. Cecil and her husband, NCAA College Football Hall of Fame player,  former NFL Pro Bowl Safety, and current St. Louis Rams Senior Defensive coach, Chuck Cecil, believe that God has blessed their lives in many ways and are dedicated to giving back both financially and with their time.  The college sweethearts are avid philanthropists working with several charities that are close to their heart. The duo split their time between California and St. Louis and have a ten-year-old daughter, Charli Alleene.
